One of the biggest questions we had as parents awaiting Sam’s birth, besides the whole “is it a boy or a girl” thing, is what Sam would look like. Because on the ultrasound, you get squat. The pic on the left is Sam’s first official picture! That’s his ultrasound at 12.6 weeks, and let me tell you that Melissa and I stared at this picture an obscene amount of times before he was born. We’d just lay in bed wondering who’s nose, eyes, ears, hair, etc, he’d have. Would he resemble his Mom or his Dad? Maybe, and most likely, a mixing of both?
These questions filled our heads and conversations with family and friends until the day Sam popped into our lives…
Well he was wrinkled, purple and slimy.
But as soon as the nurse wiped him clean, the judging began! And the general consensus was that he looked like …my brother Mike!
So naturally, the next thing I did was call him up to ask him a couple serious questions.
As the days and weeks go by, Sam’s face has, of course, changed and now people seem to say he’s my Mini-Me (similar hairline aside
). I don’t completely agree as I see Melissa’s eyes and nose, but you can check it out for yourself here as I’ve assembled our baby photos for comparison.

So? What do you think?!?! Mom or Dad…..or Uncle Mike?!?!

ok - so if I count well, it is possible that you really did not know that Melissa was pregnant when you gave us your desk (Aaron and I were kind of wondering how much you lied to us when you told us you did not get rid of the desk for a baby ^_^)
For the pictures, I don’t think he has the eyes of any of you but I think his chin is Melissa’s one and his nose looks more like yours…
Hmmm… I don’t remember exactly when you came by to pick up the desk, but I do remember it being freakin’ hot cause we were all sweating like pigs… It was the day you moved…but I can’t remember the date… But YES, she was pregnant at that time
And yes we preferred keeping it a secret until after the 3 month mark, which is when the chances of a miscarriage are drastically diminished…so that’s why we covered it up!
